I was saddened this evening to learn of Patrick’s Passing. It was not unexpected but I was still saddened to hear it. He was one of my favorite actors ever since he did the North and South Mini Series Trilogy. I guess I will need to find a good Patrick flick on TV this weekend to drown my sorrows. My condolences go out to his family. I remember as a teenager whenever one of his movies would come out I would go see it in the theatre. His poster was on my wall in college and my first apartment.

The CW Fall TV Season
I am happy to see that the fall TV season is slowly but surely starting. Last night I was happy to see that one of my favorite shows Supernatural is back on The CW. I started watching Supernatural midway into the 1st season. Even though I was slow to catch on the show it has not failed to disappoint me and last night was no exception.
New to the Thursday night lineup is The Vampire Diaries. Just from what I have seen of it which is the pilot episode I think it will be a good compliment to Supernatural. I look forward to Thursday nights again at least from 7pm to 9pm.

House Season 6
Last night my husband showed me the preview for the new season of house. It looks to be a promising season based on the preview. I know I am looking forward to Sept 21st to see the new episodes. Even with the changes that were made in cast I still was able to enjoy last season.

District 9
Friday night my husband and decided to see this movie with some friends. I have no problems with most sci fi movies. I am fairly open minded about most movies and usually wait till after I have seen the whole thing to pass judgment on a movie. This movie however was an exception for me. I went to see this movie having no idea who was in it or much of what it was about. Even with all of that I still was shocked at how graphic it was. I have seen some pretty graphic movies and had no problems watching them. District 9 for some reason just did not sit well with me at all. More than once I actually had to look away from the screen so I would not get ill from all the graphic scenes. All in all it was an interesting story line but the graphic scenes in the movie turned me off. I did not regret seeing it but think that we could have seen something better. My best friends says to me as we are walking out of the movie that her hubby owes her for sitting through it. I told her she should cash in two chick flicks for District 9.
